Join the Grove PTG Board

My name is Damian Hobson, and I am the incoming GPTG Board President for the 2024-2025 school year.

The GPTG is looking to you to fill our open Board positions. Bring your talents to our Board next year and help us improve the school experience for both the students and the teachers. We NEED your great ideas. We NEED your enthusiasm. We NEED you to help make a difference at The Grove School next year. 

Vice President/ Fundraising Chair – The responsibilities of the Vice President/ Fundraising Chair will be to focus their attention on the operations of fundraising. Along with the President, the Vice President/ Fundraising Chair will support the other members of The Board with events and activities where needed. The Vice President/ Fundraising Chair will step into the position of President, if needed, so The Board is never left without leadership. This is a voting position.

Secretary - The role of the Secretary is to oversee the meeting agendas and keep timely and accurate monthly meeting minutes. The Secretary will keep the calendar current and update the board members on upcoming meetings and scheduled events. The Secretary and Treasurer will work together to keep the board compliant on nonprofit best practices. This is a voting position.

Event/ Volunteer Coordinator – With help from the board, the Event/ Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, gathering, and organization of volunteers for the three school and GPTG events held throughout the school year (Back to School Night, Farm 2 Fork Fundraiser, & High School Graduation). The Event/ Volunteer Coordinator will serve as the point of contact for each of the events. This is a voting position.

The Board assembles once a month at The Barton School House where everyone is invited and welcome. Smaller formed committee groups can and will get together to plan and organize events as needed. The Board has a two-year commitment.
